During testing participants, blood oxygen levels were monitored via pulse oximetry. Several other tools were used to determine their tissue oxygenation index. As a result of study, researchers found that wearing masks have no effect on performance or peak power of participants.
Moreover, no such difference were found when it came to blood oxygen levels, tissue oxygenation index and other physical exertions.
