Diet soda, know whether it is as beneficial as claimed.
Diet sodas are currently gaining popularity and are one of the popular beverages all around the world amongst health enthusiasts. People who specially want to reduce their sugar or calorie intake are it’s main attraction.
Various brands use artificial sweetening agents instead of sugar during preparation of diet sodas.
Although various brands claim their diet sodas free of sugar and calories. But till now the health effects of diet soda and artificial sweeteners are just controversial.
• Diet soda not nutritious at all.
Basically died, soda is a mixture of carbonated water with artificial or natural sweetener. Some other colours and flavours are added to prepare special flavours of soda.

Just because diet soda is generally free of calories. So it’s natural for people to assume that it can aid in weight loss programme. But several studies and researches claim that Association may not be so straight forward.
Several human trials just revealed the fact that using too much of artificial sweeteners are associated with increase in risk of obesity and metabolic syndrome.
Health experts and scientists claim that diet soda may increase appetite by stimulating hunger hormone. Thus this will increase the amount of calorie one will intake.
Another report states diet sodas correlation with weight gain may be explained by the people with bad dietary habits drink more of it.
About one year long study on overweight participants who drink 710 ml of diet soda everyday. The result stated that the diet soda group has experienced an average weight loss of 6 kgs.
So still there is a large amount of confusion on effects of diet soda on weight loss. This topic has to be extensively researched.
