Weight gain that too in uncontrolled manner is extremely disappointing and frustrating. Diet habits and lifestyle plays a very significant role in gaining or losing weigh or fat. So if you are gaining fat or weight and do not know what is causing it. Just go through the given reasons and find it out if any one of them is responsible for the cause.

1. Eating high processed food regularly 

Most of the healthy and nutritious food are very less processed. As processing them, decreases their nutritious content and increases unhealthy calories. High processed food like fries, sweets, microwave dinners, fast food are the main cause of irregular fat and weight gain. These food eventually takes to obesity because they are just packed with calories of unhealthy fats. So just cut out processed meals from your daily life.

2. Too much of sugar intake

Enlargement of waistline may be the result of too much intake of sugar beverages or foods. Items like drinks, cakes, cookies, candy, ice cream are high in sugar calories. They not only leads one to obesity but paves the way to various diseases like increase in blood sugar levels. So cut the sugar from your lifestyle. Instead of it honey or jaggery can be used.

3. Having a sedentary lifestyle

The common contributor towards the weight gain and chronic diseases is inactivity and sedentary lifestyle. Desk job professionals are mostly in this category. Making a few changes in living style can help these types of people. Just try to use your limbs while daily works rather then using machinaries.

4. May be YO – YO dieting is the reason

This refers to the cycle of weight loss after weight gain. Generally people who just workout for some time to loose weight come under this. Rather then choosing this method one should make minor changes in lifestyle. Includes regular exercises, and intake of clean meals.

5. Some undiagnosed medical issues

Although life style methods are generally the cause of weight gain without consent. But undiagnosed medical issue can also be their in the body that is resulting for the cause.

• Hypothyroidism

• Depression

• Poly cystic ovary Syndrome (women only)

• Binge eating disorders

Other conditions like diabetes and hypertension can cause irregular weight gain. These type of issues require medical assistance only.

So many factors are also there which are not mentioned that results in unintentional weight and fat gain. Yet you can change some unhealthy habits slowly to move towards a perfect physique.
