“Sweating burn more calories” let’s have a fact check !

Sweating is a natural mechanism by human body to regulate bodies temperature. Human body does it by releasing water and salt, which evaporates and help in cooling down.

According to researches still now, sweating itself doesn’t burn a measurable amount of calories. But the fact is, sweating out enough liquid can help you to lose water weight. Although this weight loss is temporary, Once your body rehydrate by drinking water or eating, it will immediately regain that weight.

There are certain claims, such as sweat filled activities like Bikram Yoga will allow you to burn around 1000 calories in an hour. But till now there are no scientific studies or evidences available to concrete these claims.

During one study, it was found that in a 90 minute Bikram yoga class. Women burned an average of only 330 calories. This is somewhat equivalent to brisk walking calorie burn.

But still, sweat is a way to measure the intensity level or how hard you work. During health authorities and medical claims it is recommended that an healthy adult fit in 30 minutes of moderate exercises.

Although it was discussed earlier that main goal of sweating is to cool down human body. But then also there are some other health benefits that sweating may have.

1. May promote healthy skin.

Intense exercise sessions increase blood circulation throughout the body. This procedure will surely allow oxygen and nutrients to circulate and nourishing skin cells.

2. May act as a motivating challenge.

When one breaks sweat while exercising, he or she probably doing workouts that are approximately challenging to his or her fitness level.

This gives motivation and feeling of pushing too hard.

You must have came across some people who sweat much more then normal folks.

The thing is, how much you sweat is generally based on the variety of factors which include. Genetics, fitness level, age, stamina, weight, environmental factors.

From the above mentioned factors, your weight and fitness level are likely to most influence the amount you sweat. It is commonly noticed that the better shape you will have, the quick you will sweat.
