1. Regularly Wash your hands

Washing hands with hand wash or any soap helps in cleaning down viruses and microbes. That can enter in body through hands and physical actions. Wash your hands in regular interval of times for at least 20 seconds with rich leather. Though sanitizers are also available now days for water free hand cleaning. Always wash your hands:

• Before eating and preparing food

• After returning from outside

• After using toilet

• Meeting someone from outside

• After blowing your nose or sneezing

• Meanwhile when ever gets time to do so

2. Eat nutritious home cooked meals

A strong immune system is the result of nutritious food and diet. As one grows up meal patterns and meal intake also gets effected. Eat variety of vegetables, fruits and fat free or low fat dairy products. Things to keep remember for healthy diet are:

• Keep in mind if previously facing any disease like blood sugar, hypertension or any other syndrome.

• Eat protein rich lean meats, eggs, beams, peas

3. Stay Active and perform Exercises regularly :

Regular exercise and yoga helps in maintaining metabolism and bone health of seniors. Heavy training is not required as it may cause Injury. U.S. Department of Health And Human Services recommends at least 150 minutes moderate exercise per week. Mentioning some of the methods below.

• Brisk walks in lobby or veranda.

• Yoga and meditation

• Small house hold chores like cleaning

4. Reduce Stress levels

Stress management will help in maintaining healthy and cheerful life style. Studies represent that chronic stress toll on immune system directly. Participating in enjoyable activities and family gathering, playing small games. Meditation can also help.

5. Connect With others

Stay connected with your loved ones through phone and other platforms. This will help in maintaining good mood and cheerful lifestyle. Remain connected to your elders and seniors they will love it.

6. Get enough of sleep

Adequate amount of sleep is must for an energetic and physically active body. It will help in proper digestion and rest of the body. Older people generally face sleep disorders. So maintain a lifestyle with 7-8 hours of sleep.

7. Stay Hydrated

Have enough of water, this will help in maintaining hydration in body. This is very beneficial in digestion and decreasing toxicity of body. Take at least 7-8 glasses of 2 litres of water every day.

8. Say no to alcohol

Excessive or more use of alcohol increase hypertension and body temperature too. Alcohol affects lever and other organs and body becomes vulnerable to diseases.

9. Quit Smoking

Smoking excessively harms immune as well as respiratory system. Corona is also a respiratory virus, so body becomes vulnerable to virus. So stop smoking and live healthy.

10. Try not go outside

Avoid going outside the house without any emergency. This will help seniors and elderly to less prone to outside contaminated environment. Subsequently decrease chances of virus infection.
